The e-bass is a very late instrument that is mostly used in ensemble playing. Therefore, the main goal of the class is to fully prepare students for musical situations that will mainly occur while playing together with other musicians. As soon as they have learned the musical and technical basics, beginners, too, will put their knowledge into praxis by means of ensemble work. Also, we will help advanced students to expand their talents and interests, purposefully.
Depending on the themes, we are going to use educational textbooks as teaching material, like “Der E-Bass im Jazz” by Adelhard Roidinger, or the “Modern Electricbass” - series by A. Lonardoni. Furthermore, students will be learning how to use up-to-date teaching materials like computers, or loop stations to become able to design their own creative practice material.
