Singing is the most striking part of pop music. But voice doesn’t only carry the melody and lyrics of a song. At best, emotions are created due to the singer’s interpretation, so that a song can move us, amuse us, or make us sad or happy. Ever since jazz and blues broke the tight chains of classical singing-rules, singing has been the most suitable way of, immediately, expressing yourself musically. However, even in the pop genre, mastering the instrument voice needs knowledge, practice, and, even more than for any other instrument, awareness of the own body and mind. "Pop – Vocals Basics" provides a first, deeper insight into the art of modern popular singing, taking into account the students musical preferences.
